Actors, Models and Talent for Christ Grad Andrew Bambridge Lights Up the Big Screen in Pixels

ATLANTA, GA - Andrew Bambridge has been very busy since participating in the AMTC Winter 2010 SHINE Conference. Between studying percussion at Juilliard, being a finalist in the 30th Annual VSA International Young Soloists competition at the Kennedy Arts Center, and being cast in the new feature film Pixels opening this weekend, one might say the 18-year-old performer is experiencing his full share of success.

Pixels is one of the most highly anticipated comedies of the summer starring Adam Sandler, Kevin James, and Peter Dinklage (Game of Thrones). Andrew plays the younger version of Dinklage's character, a video game fanatic who is seen as a giant in the gaming world. Of his sharing the screen with veteran actors Sandler and James, Bambridge says, "One of the things I was not expecting was that Adam and Kevin would sometimes improvise and change the script during a shot, but never was I supposed to laugh. This was very difficult because some of the things they came up with were hilarious!"

Pixels tells the story of two video game junkies (played by Sandler and James) who were trailblazers at a competitive level in the underground arcade circles of the 1980's along with their former rival Pete, played by Dinklage and Bambridge. Today, they lead very different lives and are forced to band together to use their gaming skills to save the human race.

Andrew is one of many performers to have gone through Actors, Models and Talent for Christ, a non-profit ministry that seeks to make good bolder in film, fashion, music and theater. Other alumni making headlines include Ricardo Hurtado, starring in Nickelodeon's School of Rock, Madisyn Shipman, starring in Nickelodeon's new series Game Shakers and the voice of Violet in The Peanuts Movie, and actor/dancer Stephen Boss (tWitch), So You Think You Can Dance celebrity now deejaying on the Ellen Show.

AMTC is a unique Christian talent development ministry founded in 1982 by New York model Millie Lewis and her daughter Carey Lewis. AMTC's vision can be summed up in the words of Executive Director, Adam She: "Our vision to see the Great Commission of Jesus Christ fulfilled in film, fashion, music and theater has been in the making for more than 30 years. Our purpose is simple. Jesus gave us a Great Commission. Our goal is to do our part and encourage others to do theirs."
